Dr. Lawsow was chosen as an esteemed keynote speaker at the Annual Spring 2023 Black Psychiatrists of America Spring Conference held at Heharry Medical College in Tennessee from March 23-25, 2023.
Dr. Lawson spoke about the importance of African American patients receiving equitable and effective treatment, funding, and resources.
The panel discussion was entitled 'Engaging in Clinical Research' where Dr. Lawson encouraged the group of collegiate psychiatrists to find a mentor who is a great researcher to learn from. Dr. Lawson also discussed his own experience with discovering industry-supported clinical trial research.
